Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is the state-level entrance examination which is organized by the Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) for the management admission programs like MBA, PGDM and the others in both public and private institutes of Karnataka. The KMAT examination tries to assess the applicant's general level of comprehension in fields such as numerical techniques, logical & abstract reasoning, language comprehension and general knowledge.
Exam finds its place among the year at least once and in the online mode. The format of the paper includes 120 multiple choice questions subdivided into 4 five mark sections to be solved in 2 hours. When it comes to the KMAT exam, 1 mark is assigned for each correct answer and there's a -0.25 mark penalty per each incorrect response to disscourage mindless guessing. Within a span of 20 days after the test date, KMAT results are published. The schedule of the KMAT 2024 is not declared yet and it might be conducted in Dec 2023, Jan, May and July 2024 to allow colleges time to wind up the admission sessions which are expected to start in June or July. The KMAT score is the qualifying basis for selecting candidates for the MBA programmes identifying with different institutes.
