IIT Patna - Indian Institute of Technology Admission Process

- The selection to the BTech Courses is done through the IIT JEE Advanced exam only. The first step is to qualify for the JEE Main exam result and the top performers subsequently qualify to take the JEE Advanced exam for admission to the various IITs including IIT Patna.

- Candidates who want to be considered for MTech and PhD programs have to complete tests like GATE or CEED after which there is an interview. Department in IIT Patna also take admission only by performance in either interview or written test.

IIT Patna - Indian Institute of Technology Application Procedure

1. The enrollment process to IIT Patna is based on the JEE (Advance) test. Students to begin with they have to appear for JEE Main and gain the required cut-off score in order to become eligible for JEE Advanced.

2. The online mode of the advanced examination is conducted by the IIT institutions known as JEE Advanced. The ceremony usually occurs in May during the whole year.Registration happens in April.

3. Besides, student needs to secure the desired score both in the JEE Advanced and board examination as well. Min 75% percentage as Aggregate Marks is required for GENERAL category students.

4. JEE Advanced result out and JoSAA counselling registration form to be filled by the students, online, according to his preferences for branch and IIT. It is the seat allocation that depends on JEE Advanced result, preferences specified, and availability of open seats.

5. For the admission in the IIT students who are qualified in JoSAA counselling has to finish admission work online. They have to upload documents and pay the admission before the due date.

6. The total number of the B.Tech seats at IIT Patna for the 2020-2022 batch were around 638 distributed among various branches. The computer engineering programs, which are computer science and electrical engineering, are included.
