Thakur College of Engineering and Technology, also known as TCET, is an engineering institute situated in the Kandivali East area of Mumbai. This college was Established in 2001 and is accredited by the All India Council of Technical Education and linked to the University of Mumbai. It is NAAC ‘A’ Grade institution and ranked 151st in Engineering category in NIRF 2023. TCET provides the education of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in different branches of engineering, technology, sciences, and management. The institute has infrastructure that is up to the mark regarding its infrastructure; it is located in the campus measuring 16 acres.
At TCET, one can pursue the BTech degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunications, Mechanical Civil, and Biotechnology. It also runs MTech programmes in computer engineering, electronics and telecommunication, mechanical engineering and so on and also has MCA programme. The annual examination dates to be conducted by the university are normally during the period of October – November. The admission process also begins in May of each year and to get admission students need to get through state level entrance tests like MHTCET, JEE Main and then through counseling. The selection is based with reference to these examination results achieved by the candidate. The admission procedure at TCET is that the last date for admissions is usually in the first week of June 2024.
Placement is another area that depicts the eminence of TCET as it has many leading companies in technology, engineering, and management streams visiting its campus for placements every year. Some major companies that recruit candidates having a degree in this field are Tata Consultancy Services, Capgemini, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Jaro Education, Zycus, Persistent Systems, and Avalara Technologies among others. The median salary package being offered varies between 4-6 lakhs per annum while there are few offers as high as 18 lakhs per annum. On average, the rates of placement are higher than 90 percent, and about 100 companies take part in placement processes per annum.

Thakur College of Engineering and Technology (TCET) is an institution that aims to provide a quality education in engineering providing first degree and masters programs. Being established in the year 1999 TCET is an affiliated University of Mumbai and approved by AICTE.
The undergraduate curriculum at TCET involves four-year first-degree engineering programmes that include Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication, Mechanical, Civil, and Chemical. The fee structure of these courses are INR 1.25 – 1.5 lakhs per annum.
