KJ Somaiya Institute of Engineering and Information Technology is one of the pioneer autonomous engineering colleges situated in Ayurvihar Complex, Eastern Express Highway, Sion, Mumbai. KJSIEIT was Established in the year 2001, which is recognized by AICTE and is an affiliate University of Mumbai. It has been accredited by the NAAC with Grade ‘A’ and the institution has a CGPA of 3.03. This year in the released NIRF rankings 2023, KJSIEIT has been placed in the band ranging from 101 to 150 among the engineering colleges in India.

The university provides bachelor degree programs in engineering including the Computer Engineering Information Technology Electronics & Telecommunication Mechanical Civil Engineering. The master-level courses that the university provides include M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology and Master of Computer Applications. The admission process begins in the month of January every year through different state and national level entrance tests like MHTCET, JEE Mains etc, direct admissions for some of the programs are possible on merit basis.

KJSIEIT has been placing its students in various companies, and it has a good placement record. It is a fact that about 180 plus companies take their campus placements every year resulting into 85% placements successfully. The maximum number of placement offers were made under the package of 48 LPA offered by American Express in the year 2023. Some of the other key staffing providers include Capgemini, Accenture, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan Chase, TCS, Tech Mahindra and Cognizant. The minimum IT salary package presented is 6 LPA to 8 LPA for computer engineering and IT students, while minimum core engineering salary package offered is 4 LPA to 6 LPA.
