Electronics Engineering Undergraduate Program is a 4-year BE long study that is completely dedicated to the field of electronics. For these subjects the appropriate subheadings may include Electronic Devices and Circuits, Digital Electronics, Microprocessors, Communication Engineering, Embedded Systems, VLSI Design, Optoelectronics, Instrumentation, Signal Processing, and Control Systems.
The fundamental engineering core subjects studied during the first semesters of an engineering student includes Electrical Engineering, Electronic Measurements, Engineering Mathematics, Network Analysis, Electromagnetic Theory, Analog Circuits, etc. Semesters that follow provide a rigorous applied study involving those electronics subjects.
Category | Detail |
---|---|
Degree Awarded | Bachelor of Engineering (BE) |
Specialization | Electronics Engineering |
Course Level | Undergraduate |
Duration | Typically 4 years (eight semesters) |
Eligibility | Completion of senior secondary school (class 12) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) subjects and a minimum percentage requirement (varies depending on the university, often around 50%) |
Entrance Exams | Admission may require entrance exams specific to engineering programs in your country (e.g., JEE Mains in India) |
Curriculum | Covers a broad range of electronics engineering fundamentals and applications |
1. Candidates should have completed the 12th grade, while having a credit in Physics, Chemistry, Maths. Achieve a minimum mark of 50% in the overall aggregate.
2. Only people who would choose to write down JEE Mains, other state/university level exams to get admission to BE Electronics engineering will be allowed to go into their area.
3. The counseling is based on entrance exam scores. The allotment for engineering college seats takes place according to the order of marks obtained by the candidates, the category in which a candidate falls, and the preference chosen.
4. Places like IITs, NITs, others would require very high ranks for admissions and many private/state colleges have cut-offs which are lower.
5. Now college rank, fee, intake capacity, placements etc. fluctuate today following college reputation and infrastructure. The course will span 4 years and will be divided into eight semesters.
1. Get at least 60 grading in all subjects for passing 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects.
2. Equal or more than 50 % average in Physics and Chemistry and Mathematics combined.
3. Many colleges require a base of at least 50-60% in aggregate from the 10+2 level.
4. Enroll for different engineering entrance exams such as JEE Main, UPSEE etc. depending upon which colleges you want to get yourself selected for.
5. Transcend the cut-off score within the exam and/or of 10+2 level of the actually required college. This is the first and foremost objective for all engineering colleges.
JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination Main): Carried out mainly for the purpose of admission into undergraduate engineering courses. The test measures understanding of physics, chemistry and mathematics.
BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test): Entrance exam is conducted for admission to BITS Pilani campuses for BE programs. Subjects of physics, chemistry, mathematics and English language proficiency.
MHT-CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test): Entrance test for admission into engineering programs in schools across Maharashtra at the state level. Physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology are tested in this exam (optional).
VITEEE (VIT Engineering Entrance Examination): Conducted by Vellore Institute of Technology for admissions into engineering programs. The exam consists of physics, chemistry, mathematics, English and aptitude.
SRMJEEE (SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination): Entrance exam for admission to engineering courses at SRM Institute of Science and Technology having various campuses. Exam covers physics, chemistry, mathematics, English, as well as aptitude.
