Bangalore University which has its history dating back to 1886 is an autonomous public state university, and it has 4 faculties and 45 departments and sub-departments which are located in Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka state. The Indian system has its IITs which are the largest universities in India, and there are total 600 colleges associated with them. Bangalore University equips students with the degrees at the undergraduate and post graduate level as well as covers all streams of science, social science, art, commerce, education and law. Our university has two main programs that are very popular, they being B.Com course which is a branch of commerce, and B.Sc in Computer Science which includes subject areas like programming, data structures, algorithms and database management. For the 2024 group (batch), the tentative dates for exams are: odd semester for November-December of 2024 and even one in April-May 2025. The admission process may require completion of online application or writing printed version and submitting it personally into the college and then participating in counseling sessions to choose subjects and college in accordance with qualifying rules, availability and quota. students are expected to start applying in May/June 2024, and they will be the first batch from 2024-5. The list of documents includes class 12 mark sheet, transfer certificate for students passed from other school boards, certificate of migration for student who passed out from other school they studied, and reservation category certificate if applicable. The registration cost amounts to almost Rs. 500.
