Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology (IT) is a 4-year, undergraduate program in engineering field specializing on computing facilities and software design and development.
The BE IT curriculum covers major computer science disciplines such as programming, data structures and algorithms, operating systems, computer systems, computer network and database management systems. Coming next are details of how information security, cloud computing, big data analytics, machine learning, and Internet of Things are presented and used in our day-to-day lives.
Learners enroll in both theories as well as practice by means of laboratory sessions. The program features a one-semester, mandatory industry internship in the last semester to make it possible to get real hands-on practical experience. Some institutes of higher learning actually feature minor projects along with a major final project.
1. The eligibility is 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as the required subjects having 50% aggregate marks in each.
2. Students get admission on the basis of their performance in national/state level entrance exams like JEE Main, COMEDK, & KCET & if seats are vacant directly through colleges as well.
3. Application form can be found on a college website or the national/state examination website itself. They all just want your data, no matter how you try to explain or convey the message. They put your personal information at risk, forcing you to do the work.
4. Admissibility criteria are the scores in entrance exams and the cut-off point, counselling is conducted and seats are then allocated among the students. Payment of fees by registering before the set timeline after seat allocation.
5. Note that a student will be able to gain their final admission only by presenting all the documents in the order verbalized by the college itself.
1. The minimum educational qualification is the passing of the Senior Secondary Board or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject & Mathematics as compulsory subjects and have not less than 50% of aggregate marks (45% for reserved category candidates.
2. The main highlight of our approach is a board examination from a recognized board; for example, State Boards, CBSE, ICSE, etc.
3. Whether JEE Main, CET, AIIMS, CLAT, etc. was conducted by the specific university or institute. On the other hand, the exams that were conducted at the state/national level cannot be taken for granted.
4. To enroll in some colleges, you are supposed to score a certain mark in the relevant subjects of the 10 + 2 examination (usually 50% aggregate)
5. Age limit normally comes up where maximal age threshold is set at much higher level for reserved category candidates.
6. In certain cases, lateral entry, which is the 2nd year of engineering is offered for the Diploma holders' direct entry.
7. An additional criteria such as Medical fitness certificate, Local residence certificate etc also contain in some Institute rules.
JEE Main (Paper 1): The Paper 1 of JEE Main 1 evaluates aspirants’ competence in physics, chemistry, and mathematics, including the themes that are of relevance to BE Information Technology admissions.
BITSAT: For BE IT programs, the BITS Admission Test accesses students' physics, chemistry, mathematics, and English aptitude.
MHT CET: Maharashtra Common Entrance Test includes the round of physics, chemistry, mathematics and logical reasoning related to the admission of BE Information Technology courses.
