The University of Allahabad in Allahabad, a public central university, is located in Uttar Pradesh, India. Founded in 1887, it is one of the oldest universities in India which is highly recognized for being an institution of academic excellence. The university provides a variety of curriculum for undergraduate and, postgraduate education in various disciplines such as arts, commerce, science, law, education, and more. University of Allahabad Eligibility Criteria 2024

- For undergraduate programs like BA, BSc, BCom: This includes the subjects - that are more or less of similar areas of interest.

- For postgraduate programs like MA, MSc, MCom: These mostly have a pass-level requirement, which is again a mix of grades with variability across subjects.

- For MPhil and PhD: Graduate program, which must be in the subject relevant to the position with the minimum passing percentage. Moreover, there are exams and interviews which are conducted for the courses. 

- Special relaxation to reserved category candidates for means of percentage of marks required can be adopted on the basis of government rules.

- Appraising experts/specialist to these programs the additional criteria may be in action in some courses. For example: entering exams as an admission criterion to some MSc\ subjects.

University of Allahabad Admission Process 2024

- The students are awarded admission across different undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs within the colleges like arts, science, commerce, law, etc.

- In case of undergraduate programs, admissions focus mostly on the marks scored in the qualifying exam such as intermediate exam results or the class 12th scores. Besides, a few systems (e.g. entrance exam scores) may be taken into account by some programs.

- The University of Allahabad does not only administer entrance examinations for undergraduate programs, but also for the postgraduate and research programs. Candidates are required to enrol in the admission process and sit the necessary entry tests. This consists in their results of both entrance exam plus that of qualifying exam as students like final exam are also criteria of their admissions.

- There is a centralized internet application which is suitable for admissions. Students are to complete universities application first and provide their details on the admission portal.
