Law Faculty Entrance Test

The LFAT (Law Faculty Admission Test) is a national level entrance exam and being a competitive one, it is conducted for getting enrolled into the 5-year statutory law programs offered by the various national law universities of the country. The exam is to check a candidate’s basic thinking abilities, proficiency in mathematics, command of English and basic knowledge on current affairs. The LFAT is an examination of 2-hours long performed in pen-paper form consisting of 150 multiple choice questions which are divided into 5 sections namely English proficiency, legal aptitude, logical reasoning, general awareness, and quantitative techniques. The exam is considered as a moderately difficult one with an x-shaped function of the difficulty level of questions. 

LFAT score is now widely employed by a number of NLUs either independently or together with class 12 marks to select candidates for admission into their law programs. The date of the exam LFAT 2024 in notified by the conducting authority yet. Nonetheless, at the same time the exam is conducted in May months annually. Results days within 3 weeks after test. Shortlisted ones would have to undergo with the counselling by their desired NLUs and then the final seat allotment will be done. Fierce competition and a limited number of seats that can be accepted mainly through good performance in a LFAT test that could be done not less than one year before admission to LLB program in top national law universities hence the serious preparation that law aspirants engage in. Next LFATs are planned to be done in May 2024.

Documents Required for Apply LFAT Exam 2024

- 10th and 12th class mark sheets and certificates: These do not only address your educational certificates but also other credentials.

- Proof of age: Certificates which can be furnished are like Aadhaar card, PAN card, driving license, or 10th certificate which serve as the age proof. That's men and women between 20-27 years old on 1 July 2024, luckily.

- Nationality proof: The requisite document can be a valid passport, voter ID, Aadhaar card or ration card produced to verify your Indian nationality. 

- NOC certificate: In relation to this, the NOC is necessary if you are holding a government position. 

- Domicile certificate: Along with the candidate’s state domicile or residence proof, he/she will be required to submit his/her Panchayat Resident Certificate for the current recruitment exam.

- Physical standards certificate: To make sure that the candidate meets the physical eligibility criteria, there should be a health certificate signed by an aviation medical officer that is approved by the Armed Forces

- Application fees payment certificate of payment.
