Pondicherry University, a central university based in Puducherry, India, specializes in various areas. In 1985, the year of its inception by the government of India, it is also now considered as a leading institution of higher education in the country. The university run a series of undergraduate, postgraduate, and research through the faculties of science, art, management, law, engineering, medicine, and agriculture programs. Some of the main courses that are imparted are MBA in International Business and B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. MBA program emphasizes the global business as BTech CSE deals with the fundamentals of computer science and latest techs. Around November-December and April-May each year, there are university exams that are held. The 2024 admission process will open in March 2023. The students have to appear on the national or state level entrance exams like engineering program's JEE Main or CAT exams of MBA programs. Possessing successful results of the exams, students are required to submit their applications at the university's portal. Shortlisted candidates go for group discussions, interviews, counselling and other types of selection discussion after which seats are awarded considering the overall merit, choices by students and reservation policies of the government. Pondicherry University Eligibility Criteria 2024

- For undergraduate programs: Submit the following documents: a proof that you passed 10+2 or equivalent examined with at least the required percentage.

- For postgraduate programs: Bachelor's degree in desired field with a minimum statutory requirement in the field. Some programs also test by the way of entrance exams.

- For MPhil and PhD: Possessing a candidate should have a master's degree in the relevant field with the required minimum percentage. Similarly, most programs require candidates to pass the interview process and take an entrance exam. Other criteria may be added to serve disciplines different from the one is being discussed here.

- For diploma and certificate programs: One should have passed 12th class or graduation depending on the course duration and the type of the program. Certificate might be also needed some times special work experience.

- The applicants who belong to the Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes/ Other Backward Classes / Physically challenged category are allowed to obtain relaxation in minimum percentages as per the government norms.

- The foreign competitors need to bring along other documents stated such as confirmation of equivalency from Association of Indian Universities.
