The Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT), Gandhinagar has multiple undergraduate and postgraduate courses in computing, IT, cyber security, Electronics & Communication, Mathematics & Computing and many more. The minimum eligibility criterion for the BTech programme in Computer Science and Information & Communication Technology is the clearing of the final examinations of 10+2 or any equivalent examination with Mathematics and Physics and a minimum of 60 percent marks in average. It also accepts JEE Mains, GATE scores, and SAT scores for admission into four-year programs. The MSc/MS specialization programs consider scores in GATE/CEED/UCEED, CAT, and GRE and graduation scores in the relevant subjects for the two-year postgraduate programs. 

The institute accepts its online applications normally during the period of march- April every year for its B.Tech and M.Tech courses starting from July/ August session through state/national level entrance test Scores. The acceptable exams to be taken are JEE, GATE, CAT, CEED depending upon the UG and PG preferences. That for the batch starting in July 2024, the application process should start in March 2023 and the batch should start in the last week of July 2024. UG programs that are sought after include the Btech Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Information & Communication Technology, while the PG programs include Mtchn Computer Science, Mscon Information & Communication Technology, MDes Design etc. In addition, it also provides very good Ph.D research programs for emerging fields like Machine learning, Data Science, VLSI, embedded System, Human Computer Interaction, GATE/NET qualification along with Post graduate degrees.

DA-IICT Gandhinagar Application Process 2024

The admission to DA-IICT Gandhinagar is offered for the students who want to get their B.Tech degree and it can be applied through online as well as offline mode. 

It is easy and fast to complete an application online as a solution. In order to view the links, candidates must go the official website www.daiict.ac.in and navigate to the ‘Admissions’ tab. They have to register just to be able to create the username and password in order to be granted login capacity. With these, they are able to login and complete the admission application form whereby all the necessary details and scanned documents are entered. Application fee payment can be done online through credit/debit card, net banking . 

For the offline process, the candidate will have to download the admission form from the website and take a printout. DA-IICT Gandhinagar B.Tech How To Apply?

1. Check the eligibility criteria - As per the eligibility criteria for joining the NDA you must have passed your 12th standard with 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics streams. You should also have a valid score in JEE Mains exam as well as good knowledge of Physics and Mathematics.

2. Online application - Information on application and all the admission details of DA-IICT can be accessed online when the application forms are available. After the process of selection, you need to click on the ‘Apply Now’ button and get the application form filled.

3. Documents to be submitted – As a part of the online application process, you have to upload the scanned copies of passport photo, signature, Class X and XII marks sheet, JEE score etc.

4. Application fees – Pay the application fees online through the use of credit card or debit card or through net banking and the total fees for the admission into DA-IICT B.Tech is one thousand two hundred Indian Rupee only.

5. Final step for submission – Close to the end of your application, you will need to check all the information you have entered, agree with the declaration, and finally, submit the application form.

6. Website for admission test – Candidates should visit the DA-IICT website for admission tests, short lists, selection list, etc, as per the timetable.

7. takeover if short listed- Candidates who are shortlisted will be required to take a computer base test as well as a personal interview.

DA-IICT Gandhinagar M.Des Selection Criteria

- Applicants should possess the following qualification: Degree in design or any other field with not less than 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) for the post of Architectural Assistant.

- As part of the admission process, the shortlisted candidates have to sit for an entrance examination which features a design aptitude test and personal interview. 

- The design aptitude test assesses creativity and design skills on factors such as visual acumen, scrutiny, analytical ability, and innovative brilliance.

- At the personal interview, some of the parameters which are considered include conceptual clarity, form sensitivity, design awareness, communication ability etc.

- The final assessment is done on design aptitude test and the personal interview, which tests their general intelligence, and this is done with an indication of the candidate’s performance during their undergraduate studies.

- Special attention may be paid to those applicants who have some practice in the field connected to the job or who possess outstanding portfolio.

- It is very selective due to limited availability of seats and admission is offered based on first come first serve basis after qualifying the design aptitude test + interview.
