DPSRU's Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program is highly specific to the area of research whether it is pharmaceutical or related to other disciplines. An original research project conducted under the faculty advisement is usually intended to explore and discover new knowledge or innovations which several areas of research include pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, pharmacognosy, biotechnology, etc.
A Ph.D. program is of a minimum of three years for the candidates who have completed a master's degree. 1. The entrance exam is being conducted by the university itself, for the purpose of admission. The test consists of questions on chemistry, physics, and math/biology.
2. Candidates should have passed 10+2 or other equivalent examination and Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology as main subjects are taken as major subjects. Grades of no less than 40-45% are sufficient based on the category.
3. Next, the merit selection lists are prepared based on the scores obtained in the exam. You can secure a seat through counseling based on merit, various categories of reservation, candidates’ choices filled in, etc.
4. Besides entrance marks, the students who come from the Delhi region would be given an additional point or an advantage for admission.
5. While some seats may be allocated on the basis of national level exams such as JEE Mains. These thresholds of course may vary substantially from year to year.
