Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology (DCRUST), its abbreviated form, is a government university situated at Murthal, Sonepat, in the state of Haryana, within India. The DCRUST, which is a premier technical institute located in Murar, was established in 2006 with the aim of imparting knowledge and skills necessary for various fields including engineering, pharmacy, management and computer applications. The university has a campus stretching about 200, 000 square metres and emphasizes on giving good technical education while making all-rounded persons.

At DCRUST there are two courses which are the most opted for degrees namely B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering and MBA in Marketing Management. The B.Tech Computer Science program covers in-depth information that range from programming/coding, software development, machine learning, and data analysis. Marketing MBA provides ample proficiency in market research, brand management throughout digital marketing and sales channels.

At the end of even semesters, exams conducted between October and November cover the semester's syllabus while students take exams in April and May for odd semesters. Students generally commence their university application in May of each year. While applying for an engineering college, aspirants have to give entrance exams at both state or national level such as JEE Main, GATE, CAT etc. As per the marks and choices filled by them, candidates are then subjected to counseling before they are given seats according to merit, reservation and choice filling. The session starts on the last week of July, a time when students study and rest simultaneously for exams while also having fun.

- Instance of undergraduate courses like BTech, BSc, BA, BCom etc. - Candidates for such courses should have a pass certificate in 10+2 and equivalent examination with physics, chemistry and mathematics as the main subjects. The minimum aggregate requirement for generic programs start from 45% while specific programs increase the required percentage to as high as 60%.

- While talking abut MTech - Students need to possess a BTech/BE degree in a relevant specialization and a minimum of 50-60% aggregate marks. While not all programs mandate GATE scores, they still go a long way to ensuring that the students who enter those programs are qualified.

- For MSc program - the student must attain minimum percentage marks as prescribed by the program in graduate degree (BSC/BS).

- For PhD: The candidate must possess a relevant degree in the engineering sector, having obtained at least 55% marks at post graduation. Along with such programs some of them also require elevated status in national level tests like NET/GATE exam.

- To reduce anxiety reduction percentage of marks to be got is specified for reserved categories by the government.
