University of Jammu Eligibility Criteria 2024

- For undergraduate programs: Meeting fourth grade (10 + 2) with the minimum marks stipulated for each program. Besides, some programs have as well the entry restriction for particular disciplines.

- For postgraduate programs: A baccalaureate degree in a related field required with minimal grade points required or based on the program. Besides these, certain programs may still require entrance tests.

- For MPhil and PhD: An upper-secondary degree with a minimum CGPA/percentage of marks to be considered. The interview and aptitude test are also part of these college's activities. Also, candidates are supposed to submit their research proposal.

- For diploma and certificate programs: Students can either get 10+2 exam passing or a bachelor's degree which relies on the program. As in a certificate program, the diploma program also takes in the 10th pass candidates.

- Margin of marks, settled by government norms, is awarded to candidates belonging to reserve categories.

University of Jammu Admission Process 2024

1. Check Eligibility

The students have to make sure they qualify for the student body of the university for the program that they wish to enroll for. This can be anything compared to age, academic certificates, or any requirements to sitt for an entrance exam.

2. Application Form

The format of the application form need to be in accordance to the regulation and the due date of the application must be strictly adhere to. An application form will usually be downloadable from the university's website in a format such as PDF. Enclose all the required documents to be attached with the application form.

3. Entrance Exams 

Certain programs select participants according to an exam which they conduct. Learners are required to be enlisted for the particular exam they want to sit for as per the given in the exam time-table.

4. Merit List

What follows the entrance candidature is a merit list when the university declares the students on the basis of their scores. Seats at all levels including nursery are assigned based on some factors like merit, eligibility, reservation policies and others.  

5. Counseling 

Finalists can visit for interviews during which they can choose the program/branch according to their rank, quota etc. They may be asked for original documents before confirmation.

6. Modification sections & tuition fees.

At long last, after the seats are allocated, students can then proceed to take admissions upon the resolving of admission fees and charges. Required documents to be submitted for the university entry formalities should be the last performed by the university.
