Jaypee University of Engineering and Technology Guna is a private university established in 2003 at Madhya Pradesh and offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses engineering and technology streams. Large numbers of departments are available at JUET Guna such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and Chemical Engineering, etc. It differs in each department but in most cases they accept students who have 50-60% marks in 10+2 Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or its equivalent examination or any other examination like JEE Main, MP PET, or JUET conducted by the university. The major entrance tests for admission into UG programs in JUET Guna are JEE Mains MP PET and the JUET University test that is held in April-June of the year in most cases. In case of admissions to PG programs, the GATE qualified candidate will be given preference for admission to MTech course, while for MCA, the admission is through NIMCET and through the university test. The admissions to Jaypee University of Engineering and Technology (JUET) Guna can be made either online or offline. 

For online application, please go to thewebsite through the link http://www.getadmissions.com/jaypee When on the homepage, look for the link labelled ‘Admissions 2023-24’ and click on it, navigating further to your preferred program. Complete the oline application form and attach necessary documents. In this method, the following shall be done: Make payment of application fee online. 

For offline mode, it is very simple and candidates can either download the application form from the university’s official website or can pick up the same from the university’s admission office. In the case of new application, complete the form and enclose photocopies of relevant documents where necessary. Enclose the duly filled in application form along with a demand draft of the applicable amount towards the application fee at the admission office before the day fixed for it.

JUET Guna B.Tech Admission 2024

1. JUET commonly known as Joint Entrance Test is entrance examination conducted for the admission to the various BTech courses offered by Jadavpur University, West Bengal.

2. As of now, JUET 2024 is estimated to be held in the month or May of the year 2024. The dates for the exact exams will be communicated by the university, in the later part of the year 2023 or early 2024.

3. Eligibility for JUET: It is mandatory for the candidate to have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized University or Board with an overall 60% of the total marks (55% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

4. The application process normally starts in the months of March-April and the admit cards are then issued 10-15 days before the date of the entrance examination. Application is to be done online through the university admission portal as it is not a traditional campus university.

5. JUET question paper will be in multiple choices questions which are from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as per the 10+2 syllabus. Total marks may be one hundred and the number of questions may be one hundred and fifty or so.

6. The choices of the candidates will be available based on the JUET scores acquired and preferences of the candidates Counseling will be done in June-July 2024 to allot seats. It is mandatory that the candidate should have appeared for and qualified JUET with certain cutoff marks.

7. Admission shall be offered on the basis of meeting the required eligibility, undergoing the counselling session and document verification as prescribed by JU. Seat distribution depends on his/her choices, merit rank and the availability of seats in the respective colleges.

JUET Guna B.Tech Selection Criteria

- The admission process is influenced by the ranks scored in West Bengal joint entrance examination also commonly known as W.B.J.E.E. Candidates who have scored well in this common state-level examination are eligible to join JUET.

- Regarding the seats reserved for the candidates in WBJEE ranks, 60% weightage is provided to WBJEE entrance examination and 40% weightage to Class XII board examinations while preparing the overall merit list and ranks.

- Some of the seats are filled by direct admission from the WBJEE merit list without any deductions for class XII marks. Some examples include seats under TFW, Sports, quota and so on.

- As for the general category, candidates have to obtain a rank below 4000 in WBJEE, to be considered for JUET BTech admission. The cutoff ranks are comparatively low for the reserved categories.

- In addition to the minimum cutoff rank candidates must produce certain criteria such as attaining a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in their respective 10+ 2 board examination with prescribed subjects for admission in engineering courses, 55% for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates. 

- Seat distribution is also done according to the candidate WBJEE rank, the number of seats in different disciplines/branches and the choices exercised by the candidate during the counseling process. Having higher ranking of the candidate, he/she gets preference.
