JNU is in Delhi, India.

JNU came into being in 1969 by an act of parliment.

The university offers a range of Bachelors, Masters, MPhil and PhD studies in diverse fields such as the humanities, social sciences, languages, life sciences, physical sciences, computer and systems sciences, and international studies.

The school comprises of 10 disciplines and 5 special centers. The schools propose different programs as the centers are involved in researches and advanced studies.

The majority of programs in JNU are enrolling candidates with the results of a national exam. In addition, some programs may use interviews as part of their admission (admissions) process.

JNU is renowned as the centre of academic excellence, critical thinking culture, prominent student politics and it has been producing many notable politicians, bureaucrats, diplomats, journalists, and academics so far.

Undoubtedly, JNU has hostel accommodations at a subsidized cost to most of its students. The university has a total of 18 hostels situated in different parts of the campus. These hostels can accommodate about 6,000 students.
