Dibrugarh University, situated in the city of Dibrugarh, Assam is a center of excellence when it comes to higher education in the North-East region of India. This university was established in 1965 and we offer learning programs that span from graduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs through its 18 schools and 32 accredited departments. The university has a total of 150 colleges within its affiliated college system in the 5 Upper-Assam districts. 

The Department of Mathematics provides two-year programmes of studies that lead to a Master of Mathematics degree, which includes specialization in key areas such as Real Analysis, Complex Analysis, Functional Analysis, Algebra, and Topology among others. The tests are held in the month of June during each calendar year. The department of Physics runs a 2-year MSc in Physics with specializations in Solid State Physics and Radio Frequency Identification, Electronics, Nuclear Physics, Materials Science, and Condensed Matter Physics. The senior year annual exams are in the month of May.

Applying to the 2024 schedule will start next May. Applicant needs to complete and submit the online application forms plus scanned versions of all necessary documents. Entrance examination is going to be held between July 2023 and the interview round is designed for the candidates who got shortlist. According to the University, the students who will make it to the final merit list will be notified by August 2023. This selection will be based on their academic record, documentation, and entrance test performance. Our new session to be held in the first week of September 2023 is expected to do just that.

Dibrugarh University Eligibility Criteria 2024

- For Bachelor's degree programs: The admission policy for these courses is to obtain passed results of SSLC or it’s equivalent with essential subjects. For program-specific marks, the minimum aggregate, which varies, is generally 45-50%.

- For Master's degree programs: Firstly, a bachelor of science in any relevant subject with a score of minimum aggregate marks usually around 50%. There can be other requirements just like that for other programs.

- For MPhil and PhD: Master's degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% counters. Just like any other candidate, applicants also have got to pass an entrance exam and go for an interview too.

- For diploma and certificate programs: A two-year-diploma or a Bachelor's degree based on the program requirements and period of the program.  

- Reserved category candidates while lessening the minimum marks simultaneous with government rules.

- International candidates must be given due recognition by Association of Indian Universities. They should have equivalency certification as well.

- We intend to get applications through two channels, namely newspaper advertisements and the university's website.

- Looking to undergraduate programs, the admission goes as per the aggregate of the students in their 10+2 level examinations. There is a note referring to the minimum eligibility criteria of diverse programs.

- Enrollment for postgraduate programs is restricted to the best students who have topped their university course related to such programs. The admissions tests may be taken by a few programmes.

- Applicants must sign into the online application within the indicated days. They ought to fill in the required information concerning the qualifying examinations and the certificates and marksheets.

- If applications are submitted on time and the data is organized accordingly, merit lists may be prepared program-wise based eligibility criteria and the results of the qualifying exams.

- Provisional would be given to qualified applicants for admission issued letters of allotment and therefore eligibility.
