Medical degree course is meant to produce a physician or surgeon and prepare the students to become one. Medical programmes usually last for 4 years and during the end of the course, graduates are awarded Doctors of Medicine (MD) or Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degrees. TGC applicants need to have a bachelor’s degree with background in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics and English. Other requirements may include research experience and previous volunteer work in health care facility or hospital.

Competition in medical schools is competitive, and the acceptance rates are between 6-15% in top-ranked programs. The academic requirement of the program is that applicants must sit for the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) and pass it with good scores. Leadership experience, research, and work, as well as high MCAT scores and GPA numbers enhances the chances. It is the Medical School Admission Test (AMCAS) application service for the fifteen accredited medical schools where the Association of American Medical Colleges serves as the managing body.
