Diploma in Dental Technician & Hygiene is an under graduate course in this field of study and takes a period of four academic sessions to complete. This course equips the students with skills for aiding the dentists and manufacturing dental prostheses. Many institutions take 2 years to offer the Diploma in Dental Technician & Hygiene. A curriculum is comprised of such related courses as dental material, dental anatomy, dental radiography, preventive dentistry, nutrition, microbiology, oral pathology, and periodontology.

The minimum requirements for admission in Diploma in Dental Technician & Hygiene course is the candidates must have passed Class 12 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects affirmed by a recognized board. Apart from national and state level exams, some institutes also have their own entrance examinations for admission. Admission through state level and national level entrance examinations is also possible such as National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ( NEET ), All India Admission Test for Aligarh Muslim University, JMI CET, Delhi University Entrance Test ( DUET ).

Diploma in Dental Technician & Hygiene Course Eligibility 2024

1. 12th passed in science with PCB/PCB stream from any recognized board securing not less than 50% marks. 

2. Since the entrance test is conducted for admission to first year only, there is minimum age bar of 17 years as on 31st December of admission year. 

3. The candidate should possess good vision and physically fit to be assigned to clinical duties.

4. Any applicant seeking to join a university or college must meet the required scores in an entrance examination conducted by the university/college.

5.Candidates from SC/ST/OBC category has age and percentage relaxation as per rules. 

6. Candidates must have done their internship or training, if any after their 10+2 level of education.
