The Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), being seated in Nashik, Maharashtra, was established in 1998 under the Maharashtra Heath Sciences Act. It is the only body which is the sole authority to ensure that each medical, dental, nursing and paramedical school across the state is in the best position to serve the transitioning demographics of the state. The university here centrally is targeted towards the creation of the desired environment for discharge of health sciences where there should be assistance from colleges, examinations, training of teachers and research.

This institute offers diversified healthcare studies like MBBS and BDS. During this program, which lasts for five years, the student is supposed to cover topics like anatomy, physiology,biochemistry,pathology, pharmacology, and social medicine. BDS focuses on the dental sciences as a 5-year program that then leads to some specific processes.

In general, examination for the languages for the immediate academic year is spacing in April-May of every year which is conducted by those language programs. Proposed test dates schedule for the 2024 academics year will be between April 15th and May 15th and this applies to health students from partner universities in the entire state.

Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Admission Process 2024

- MUHS is one of the sought-after medical universities in India for offering MBBS, MD/MS, nursing, pharmacy, etc. programmes across its colleges located in Maharashtra.

- Students who wish to seek admission in MBBS and other merit-based programs have to sit for the national level NEET entrance test as per the eligibility criteria.

- There is a statewide counseling session, which is done under the central authority to facilitate to register the candidate and fill choices of college and courses that a candidate wants to take. Students receive reserved seats based on merit.

- The students that desire to pursue postgraduate medical studies, have to appear for the NEET- PG exam followed by counseling process based on merit. The availability of seats, reservation policies, and other factors also come into consideration.
