BE Instrumentation Engineering 2024: Admission, Eligibility, Syllabus

4 Years
Degree
Graduation
Full Time

Instrument engineering as a four-year undergraduate engineering program with fields of application involving instrument design, development and instrumentation systems altogether, is on measurement and control. The duration of the course is generally taken as 8 semesters that further makes the time frame as 4 years.

In the first year of the Instrumentation engineering curriculum, students take basic engineering courses such as math, physics, chemistry and mechanics. Besides, most of the universities follow a similar approach. Over a period of 3 years, topics like instrumentation devices and systems, signal processing, control systems, data acquisition, analysis, sensors technology, process control, and similar engineering subjects are covered. Students will have the opportunity to learn electronics, computer programming, machine design, and other relevant subjects.

BE Instrumentation Engineering Admission 2024

1. Eligibility: Students would be required having the marks score of 50 to 60% from a standard board after 12th grade in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics alone.

2. Entrance Exams: Candidates need to appear for engineering entrance exams: JEE Main, GATE, UPSEE, etc. depending on the colleges or universities they want to  apply to.. This exams scores is expected to bed good enough.

3. Application Process: The procedure of students separately submitting applications for the colleges of their choice becomes a necessity. They have to complete the entire applications forms either through websites by themselves or offline. All the documents should attached with the application.

4. Counseling & Selection: Obtaining the envelope by means of examination scores and merit ranks, students go for counseling rounds with a need to select and lock their choice of instrumentation engineering college as well as department based on the rank they hold.

5. Admission Confirmation: Being assigned a seat will require a fee to be paid up-front before confirming your admission which will lead to the automatic cancellation of your admission if not paid. The required documents including the certificates issued by the student have to provide in original as well.

BE Instrumentation Engineering Course Eligibility 2024

1. A passed out student of 10+2 Science route with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as core subjects. Students applying for this program must have at least 50% marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

2. JEE Mains, WBJEE, etc. entrance exams making a way for students with valid score re-quire to qualify Instrumentation Engineering colleges. While some universities have independent admission tests, for others this may not be the case.

3. If you are diploma holder - Then you should have graduation in Instrumentation/Instrumentation and control engineering for 10 months and passed in 50% aggregate marks. Events of onward gap in educational pursues may indirectly lead to the use of lateral entry to reside admission into the 2nd year of instrumental degree course.

BE Instrumentation Engineering Entrance Exams

JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination Main): National level examination for the purpose of admission to BE Instrumentation Engineering in the NITs, IIITs and other central government funded technical institutions, testing Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test): Demonstrating the readiness for admission to BITS Pilani campuses by the assessment of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Proficiency, and Logical Reasoning.
