There is Manipur University which is one of the leading university situated in Canchipur, Imphal, Manipur. It was established in the year 1980 and it is an accredited University as per the University Grants Commission of India. Major exam dates for admission in 2024 are – Application form filled up to 3rd week of May 2023, entrance examination conducted in June 2023 and availability of admission list in July 2023. 

Concerning placements, the Manipur University has a placement and career guidance cell which assists the companies in recruiting the students from the university. Some of the giants that hire employees from the university are Wipro, Infosys, HDFC Bank, Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra etc. in a year, 30-40% of the total number of students passing the campus interviews get placed, the highest pay scale offered in 2022 was Rs 7 lakhs per annum. They also provide internees for students in the leading corporate companies and research organizations. Manipur University Courses Details 2024

Manipur University main campus is located in Imphal Manipur, which offers a number of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in various faculties from arts, science, commerce, engineering, medicine and more.

Founded in 1980, the university has claimed to have more than 60 departments and 10 schools offering more than 300 courses. Some of the well-known degree courses are BA, BSc BCom, MA, MSc, MCom, MBA, MCA, BTech, MTech, LLB, MBBS etc.

The language of instruction is English for most programs, although some are taught in French or both English and French. There are also some academic centers at the university such as Centre for Myanmar Studies, Centre for Adult & Continuing Education, Centre for Human Rights and Duties Education and so on.
