Dr. IIITH has announced online admission in BTech, MS and PhD programs for the academic year 2024 in May and June of the 2023. Admissions in BTech are conducted through JEE Main, or JEE Advanced or scores in SAT and then through counselling. It is to note that the admissions to MS and PhD are fully based on GATE, CEED, UCEED, JEST, JAM or any other any national examination in June-July 2023 session. Scholarly and written tests are conducted during the period of July-August followed by interviews and the final admission list for all categories is prepared and announced by September, 2023. The year of the commencement of the academic session is as follows: July 2024. Any aspirant planning to join the institute must visit the official website of IIITH to confirm the current dates and requirements of the preferred programs before next year application. There are options for getting an application fee waiver where it can be applied to the categories where the applicant is a member of.

IIIT Hyderabad Application Process 2024

The IIIT Hyderabad admission procedure is quite easy for the students who are seeking admission in the International Institute of Information Technology. Students can also download the online application from the official website of IIIT at www.iiit.ac.in or can get an offline form at the campus. 

For online application the candidates need to open the official admissions portal of the IIIT Hyderabad and enter their basic details like name, email id, and mobile number etc. and then they have to complete the application by filling the other details such as the qualification and marks obtained, examination scores etc. and the candidates also have to attach scanned copies of their photographs and certificates. Concerning the application fees, it can be paid online through means such as, net banking, credit/debit card. 

Offline mode of application can be done through sending the application form physically to the institute at the campus with the specified application fee and documents . In general, admissions to the IIIT are provided for programmes such as BTech, MTech, PhD and other courses where the candidate has to write exams like JEE Mains/Advanced, GATE among others depending on the programme applied for. IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech Admission 2024

- Students are admitted through the national level standardized tests like JEE Main and also through the test conducted by this Institute IIIT. Depending on the year, the various exams which are used in the admission process may have varying weightage assigned to them.

- In addition to the exams students may have already written, other considerations could include Class XII percentage, interview/group test performance if held, etc.

IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech Selection Criteria

- Admissions are conducted on the basis of JEE Main entrance exam ranks along with a written test and interview held by IIIT Hyderabad.

- A candidate should have obtained minimum 75% marks and equivalent CGPA in class 12th or should have ranked it in the top twenty percentiles of their respective boards.

- After filtering the students based on their ranks obtained in JEE Main, the candidates selected have to undergo a test known as RIIT (Research Inspired Innovation Test) which is a written test.

- The written examination tests and evaluates certain aspects of aptitude in physics, chemistry, mathematics and analysis. In some universities they conduct their own entrance exam and some weightage is given to class 12th marks.

- Candidates who manage to get through the written examination cut off marks are then called for an interview and the final selection is done. 

- The interview mainly aims at the general ability, computer science knowledge, communication ability and interest.

- PhD programs are offered by IIIT Hyderabad in different domains such as Computer Science, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computational Linguistics and others.

- The admissions are normally made in January-February for the specific batch for the specific batch starting from July/August of the same year.

- Applicants for the post should possess a master’s degree in a relevant field and must have had a good performance in their academic programs. There are also departments that have specified that GATE/NET qualification is mandatory for candidates.

- The selected candidates are then subjected to a written examination which is set by the IIIT Hyderabad and the final process is an interview. The written test is specifically concerned with checking the research skills and core content knowledge that are essential for the PhD programme.

1. Check the eligibility criteria: Usually, you require a master’s degree in a suitable area of study and satisfactory academic background. There may be other requisites as per the particular PhD program of the university.

2. Identify a research area and potential advisor: One should visit the IIIT website and go through the faculty profiles in an attempt to find a research area of interest and the professor who would be supervising the work. Try to contact the faculty to find out if there are any open positions for a PhD.

3. Prepare your application materials: This includes documents such as your academic transcripts, GRE/GATE scores, CV or resume, your Research Proposal Statement, Letters of Recommendation, etc Therefore the PhD advertisement holds the requirement.

4. Submit the online application: The online application process for the PhD degree programs offered at IIIT Hyderabad can be easily accessed from IIITH website. IIIT Hyderabad M.S Admission 2024

- The M.S. programs that IIIT Hyderabad has are in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Computational Natural Science and Biotechnology. These programs are highly competitive and anyone who wishes to be part of these programs must work hard to gain a chance of being accepted in the program.

- Basic requirements for most jobs also involve the specific educational credentials where some jobs state that anyone with a B.Tech/B.Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, CGPA above 3.5, and first-class. Other factors that may be considered include good GATE scores and work experience which is three to five years of experience may also be considered.

- The application and selection process, therefore, often begin early in the year. It may include steps like: submitting necessary documents, taking tests, sitting for interviews, and the likes. 

- This can be carried out on the basis of prior academic record, scores on entrance tests, prior experience, number of publications, performance in interviews etc. 

IIIT Hyderabad M.S Selection Criteria

- A first degree in any recognized University in Civil, Structural and Environmental/Information Technology or any relevant field. The applicants from other faculties are also welcome, but they will have to take several introductory courses to meet the program’s prerequisites. 

- The qualification by GATE exam is compulsory in order to take admission into the MS research program. Candidates who want to pursue a course in the institute must have passed the GATE exam with a score that is set at a particular threshold by the management.

- For candidates who are not appearing for GATE, the admission is offered based on the results of a written test and interview that is conducted by IIIT Hyderabad. This is for the MS coursework-based program Only.

IIIT Hyderabad M.S How To Apply?

1. Determine your qualifications -Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in computer science, electronics, mathematics or any related field with good academic performance.

2. Visit the admissions page of the university and search for an online form for M.S. programs available to international students. To be precise, the application form is normally released in December/January.

3. Sign up and complete an application that offers all necessary information about the applicant – basic information, academic achievements, statement of reasons to study, etc.

4. Upload relevant documents such as bachelors degree certificates, marksheets, letters of recommendation ,IELTS/TOEFL scores if any, and all the documents should be clear and should be readable.

5. The application fee can be paid online which is normally Rs 600 for a male candidate and Rs 300 for a female candidate. Keep the payment receipt.

6. Finally, complete the application form and enclose all the necessary documents and submit this before the application closing date which is normally in March.

7. If shortlisted, you will be required to take written tests and interviews that are likely to be administered in May/June either at IIIT Hyderabad or any other convenient location. 

8. If you have been selected then you should go for document verification and admission related compliances before the last date.
