Indira Gandhi University an authority of the Government of Haryana is located in Rewari town of the state of Haryana. It was founded in 2013 under the Haryana legislature Act and is accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university has got the accreditations of NAAC which they had been awarded as grade ‘B’ in 2020. It was accredited in NIRF rankings 2023 where it ranked 151 among universities in India. 

The university has different levels of study these include undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels and the courses are offered in field such as engineering, pharmacy, Agriculture, arts, commerce, sciences, education, law and management among others. Some of the most offered courses are Bachelor of Technology (BTech), Master of Technology (MTech), Bachelors of Science (BSc), Masters of Science (MSc), Bachelors of Arts (BA), Masters of Arts (MA), Bachelors of Computer Applications (BCA), Masters of Computer Applications (MCA), Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA), Masters in Business Administration (MBA), BCom, The admission process begins in May each year and prospective students can use an online or an offline mode. These exams are usually conducted in the period of November-December and the next session starts from July of the next year.

As for the training and development, the university has an efficient and active placement cell that provides campus placements for final year students. The campus has had a privilege to be visited by some of the leading companies such as Infosys, Wipro, TCS, SBI, ICICI, HDFC, Federal Bank, Decathlon and many more. The average placement rate is about 80% with the maximum salary offered being up to 15,000 per annum. The salary package that is offered starts from 3-4 lakhs per annum for every branch on an average. The upward tendency of the placements reflects the standard of learning that is provided at the university in terms of quality academic education and skills.
