- Only candidates who have done MBBS with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or and are from an accredited medical college/ university can apply.
- Selection process will be based on 2-tier process—an online entrance exam followed by interview of those who are pre-selected.
- The written exam is a 200 multiple-choice question test based on general medicine, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, anatomy, orthopedics, radiology and anesthesia in both English and Kiswahili.
- Based on the entrance exam marks, candidates are shortlisted for the interview round in a 1:6:17 ratio of population to the number of seats in every department.
- At the end, the merit rank is considered as per the scores obtained in the online test (85) and individual interview (15).
- As per the rules of Government of India the reservation of seats for different categories like SC/ST/OBC (NCL) etc. is seat wise.
- Submitted candidates shall have all essential conditions regarding age, medical standards and other required characteristics acceptable at the time of admission.
1. Eligibility
- A student gets eligible for MBBS degree if minimum of 55% marks are obtained.
- Successfully completed mandatory rotation workplace-training.
2. Entrance Exam
- The exam dates are out and you need to appear for the AIIMS PG entrance exam held by AIIMS, New Delhi.
- Exam is held once every six months (June and November/December usually).
3. Application Process
- Applications are sought through the manner of notices in wide spread media publications as well as on aiimsexams.ac.in www.aiimsexams.ac.in
- The applications needs be submitted online through the AIIMS PG registration portal.
- Upload digital versions of each document you are required to submit.

4. Selection
- Accout the entrance exam claims and the presentation of candidates in the counselling.
- MS programs capacity is greatly limited considering the number of seats available.
5. Counselling
- The ones who fit the required criteria have to attend the AIIMS, New Delhi counselling sessions.
- Place of sealing is made on the bases of merit list of entrance exam, choices filled by the applicants and seat availability.
