The BTech in Engineering Design is a 4-year undergraduate engineering degree program which aims to create engineers by emphasizing on design principles and practices with a cross-disciplinary approach. Students acquire the basic knowledge of creative aspects of design such as engineering graphics, computer- aided designing (CAD) and manufacturing process, besides the broader skills of communication, project management and teamwork. 

We hope to achieve that by offering students both the opportunity for practical involvement and the basis theoretical knowledge. Through the industry-sponsored projects that are part of the senior-level courses, the students get an opportunity to work on prototyping and developing solutions. Subjects of interest are; design thinking methodologies, ergonomics, prototyping, modeling, simulation and analysis, mechanical design, product design and production design.

BTech Engineering Design Admission 2024

1. In order to obtain admission into the prestigious JEE Advanced they need to be valid JEE Main score first. 

2. Marks in JEE Main and class 12 determine the selection. 

3. The admission to the university that can be done through the centralized counselling of the joint seat allocation authority. 

4. An NIQ program of 4 years' duration with internships is my choice. 

5. Like human centered engineering design course, manufacturing practices course, and products design. 

6. Courses to encompass the opportunities for specialization in production, and industrial to understand the automobile. 

7. The applicants should have Physics, Chemistry and Maths in their 12thwith a minimum of 60% aggregate in their class 12. 

8. The program specializes in design principles, CAD modeling, and technical curriculum held to the industry standards. 

9. The engineers designate the works, the developers of the products and the specialists of manufacturing.

BTech Engineering Design Course Eligibility with numbering

1. Finish 10+2 degree in science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics offering subjects.

2. Acquire qualifying scores such as JEE Main to pass into a BTech program at the approved AICTE colleges for engineering.  

3. Scores of high value in 12th board exam with minimum 60% aggregate to apply in top colleges. 

4. Btech which is a 4-year long undergraduate program, design usually included as a core in most streams as the engineering courses go.  

5. The engineering design course is most of the time being offered as part of 3rd or 4th year BTech curriculum after completing prerequisites.

6. Students who carry over backlogs/failures of earlier semester would not be allowed to take up engineering design course.

B.Tech Engineering Design Entrance Exams

JEE Main: National level of entrance examination to take admission in Btech Engineering Design programs. By NTA, it is evaluated through tests in physics, chemistry and mathematics.

BITSAT: Conducted by the BITS Pilani evaluates candidates' accuracy in physics, chemistry, mathematics, English proficiency, and logical reasoning for the purpose of admission into the BTech program.

VITEEE: VIT Engineering Entrance Examination is conducted by VIT University for graduation in BTech programs such as Engineering Design and others as well. It examines the candidates' depth of knowledge in physics, chemistry, mathematics, and English

SRMJEEE: SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by SRM Institute of Science and Technology is a put to the test that a candidate shows his/her proficiency in physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology, and English needed for BTech programs.

MHT CET: Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MCAEFT) of the State Common Entrance Test Cell is for admission to various UG programs including B.Tech Engineering Design in Maharashtra.

COMEDK UGET: The Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges (COMEDK) holds the UGET (Undergraduate Entrance Test) which is for admission to B.Tech programs (including Design) in Karnataka

WBJEE: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination for undergraduate admissions into Btech Engineering Design courses being offered by colleges in and around West Bengal.
