The Bachelor of Pharmacy in Ayurveda (BPharm Ayurveda) is a full-time undergraduate degree-level program in the field of Ayurvedic Pharmacy. The person who studies in this program becomes familiar with several traditional medicines and methods that have been developed in this field and used for thousands of years. The program offers advanced understanding of Ayurvedic phytomedicine, their formulations process, quality control, standardization, research methods and pharmacy management.
In the initial 2 years, subjects like Sanskrit are taught, fundamentals of Ayurveda are learnt, herbs are known through identification, chemistry is studied at the elementary level, pharmacognosy, biochemistry, pathology, anatomy and physiology are learnt during this period. In two years from now, my Ayurveda education continues with the above specializations which are Drayana-guna-vyam (Ayurvedic pharmacology), Rasashastra and bhaishajya Kalpana (Ayurvedic pharmaceuticals), Research methodology in Ayurveda and hospital training.

Course curriculum | The B.Pharm (Ayurveda) curriculum covers the following topics: |
1. Check whether you meet the eligibility criteria: If the level of class 12 is completed with physics, chemistry, biology/or mathematics, then to study the BPharm in Ayurveda, 50% marks needs to be achieved (45% for reserved category students).
2. Obtain the application form: Students who will apply for the BPharm (Ayu) Course, as a general rule, obtain the application forms electronically from the college/university websites or by walking to the campus. In most cases, an additional application fee needs to be paid in order to complete the process.
3. Fill the application form: Add all the details that the application form requires such as your personal details, qualification details, contact information etc. Fill out all the sections correctly, but double check if everything is correct.
4. Attach necessary documents: Along with the application form you need to attach documents like 10+2 mark sheets, caste certificate (for SC/ST), adhar card copy, etc. Check the documents list on the site/form for the needed documentation.
5. Submit the application: Hand in by the appointment date the completed application form accompanied by the required documents and the application fee (if is the case) either the online or offline mode as is indicated in guidelines. Along with that, please obtain a confirmation.
6. Follow admission process: Go over the college website or check the email periodically or contact them if you want to know about your application status and to go through the further admission process. If it is your turn, you will go through an interview period and will know afterwards whether you were accepted for admission or not.
7. Complete admission formalities: In the event I am the one who is appointed to the seat, I shall carry out all the admission procedures including examining of original documents, pay my fees and so on within the timeframe.
8. Enroll for the course: Please note that the college rubric requires you to present the report on the deadline and show up for the beginning of your first semester in the BPharm in Ayurveda program.
1. 10+2 Science - In order to be eligible for this course the candidate must have successfully passed the 10+2 exam or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics as the main subjects.
2. Minimum Marks - Students will be eligible for 10+2 if the candidates secure at least 50% overall pass (45% for reserved categories candidates).
3. Age Limit - The upper limit of the age for BPharm Ayurveda admission is normally 22 years; this is however, might vary per the norms of individual college or university.
4. Entrance Exams - Most of the colleges demand you to qualify a screening test like AYURLEAP, Uni-GAUGE, to get a seat in their college.
5. Subjects in BPharm Ayurveda - Here we learn Ayurvedic way of living and health along with some drugs and medicines from conventional medical science. Important topics such as Rasa Sastra, Dravya Gua, Bhaishajya Kalpana, research methodology which comes as a part of the course is also discussed.
6. Duration - The course duration of the 3 years BPharm Ayurveda is in the 4 year full time undergraduate level program.
