Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) is a public university of health science education and research (located in Thrissur, Kerala) which is focused on education and research in the field of health sciences. Established in 2010 by way of KUHS, the mains objective is to impart quality education and research in the field of modern medicine and Indian medical systems. University has more than 200 associate colleges and institutions through Kerala and the programs offered by the university are in areas of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Siddha and allied health sciences.
The university offers a wide array of UG and PG courses including Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm), Post Graduate Diploma in Pharmacy (PGDPH), Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D), and a Fellowship in Pharmaceutical Sciences (FPS). The BPharm course concentrates on the subjects, for example, pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutics, pharmacognosy and pharmaceutical biotechnology. The university normally has term examinations towards the end of June and December of each year for the said programs.
In 2024, KUHS admission process will consist of passing through the National or State entrance exams like NEET, KEE or respective to the programs. The forms are to be handed out starting from March-April, 2024 and the session starts in July/August. Selected candidates will go through an orientation and document checking after which counselling sessions will be conducted after which they’ll join the institution. Kerala University of Health Sciences Eligibility Criteria 2024
- Educational Qualification: Those intending to apply should have passed class XII or an equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects. Students from various streams (Science, Arts, Commerce) can consider applying.
- Minimum Marks: The general category students be allowed to take eligibility examination after scoring at 50% aggregate mark in 10+2. The eligible SC/ST category students require a minimum of 40% marks, and OBC category candidates must have at least of 45% in 10+2.
- Age Limit: Candidates will be considered be above 17 years old as on 31st December of the year of admission. Anybody can participate. Should be 65 and over.
- Nationality: The applicant declared that he/she is an Indian citizen. NRIs and foreign nationals are also eligible to be quota out the particular programs and classifications.
- Entrance Exams: Which program a candidate can apply for, depends on whether s/he needs to pass national or state level joint entrance exams like NEET for enrolling in MBBS/BDS programs, or exams, organized by the Kerala university, for the BSc Nursing, BPT programs etc.

Kerala University of Health Sciences Admission Process 2024
- The basic qualification for admissions is the 10+2 examination result or the entrance examination conducted by the university. Large number of candidates take up NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) for studying in a medical course.
- From the student's perspective, undergraduate programs require students to apply to the university after the 12th standard results are revealed. Generally, the threshold for admission is the first ranked or the cut off point
