 The B.Ed in Biological Sciences is a 2-year teacher preparation course in India. This mainly looks at the teacher acquisition of the subject knowledge required to teach biology and other science subjects at the advanced schools. The program was launched officially during the late 1990s in India's education system improvement attempt to revamp teacher quality in science subjects.

BEd Biological Sciences Course Eligibility 2024

- A B.Sc in any of the biological or life sciences or an equivalent degree with aggregate of 50% marks (45% in case of reserved category students).

- For some of the colleges, B.Sc. degree in Biological Sciences along with 50% marks or above on the basis of the main subject is also acceptable.

- Some colleges are only dealt with the situation where the bachelor's degree must be accredited by a reputable university. 

- Some colleges holds the entrance test to admit the students, and some others use results of tests like CTET, UGAT etc.

- This is done in order to accommodate candidates from different backgrounds like the ones who have failed to make it into undergraduate or graduate schools.

- Reservation of seats in par with government rules would cater to students of reserved categories under this category.
