The B.Ed in Biological Sciences is a 2-year teacher preparation course in India. This mainly looks at the teacher acquisition of the subject knowledge required to teach biology and other science subjects at the advanced schools. The program was launched officially during the late 1990s in India's education system improvement attempt to revamp teacher quality in science subjects.
The interplay of the science education theory and methodology courses with the content courses in topics like zoology, botany, microbiology, genetics, ecology, and molecular biology marks the BEd curriculum in biological sciences. The subjects of the class design comprise new discoveries in biology, types of laboratory work, evaluation methods, instructional planning and using technology in teaching science.
