Manipal Institute of Technology, a private technical and academic institution situated in Manipal, in the state of Karnataka, India is called Manipal University. Established in 1956, the University presents 23 colleges with the span of healthcare, engineering, management, communication, humanities, and sciences at more than 280 programs. Manipal has an academic renown, modern infrastructure, research focus, and student-life experience. It brings in students from all over the world every year numbering in more that 50.

Among the courses offered in Manipal, Btech in Computer Science BSc in Biotechnology BA in Media and Communication, BBA in Finance etc. are the most popular. The students´registration for the courses, that begins in October, is followed by the Manipal Entrance Test (MET) that is carried out in January every year. The order winners are declared by February. Lastly, April is the month when students come with the details of their preferences and select their courses based on merit, availability of seats, and their special interest.

For admission for the session commencing 2024 admissions start around July 23 with the entrance exam in January 24. The outcome of the round in February will be sent to the applicants, and those who have passed will be called for a discussion and an interview as a final round of selection. We are planning to incept the academic session in July-Augest 2024. The duration of the course is around 3 to 5 semesters, with semester-end exams held at the end of each between 6 to 7 months.

Manipal University Eligibility Criteria 2024

Academics:

- There are separate eligibility criteria for every undergraduate program. As per most of the undergraduate programs the minimum requirement is the passed 12th grade or equivalent exam with minimum marks as specified for each program. In engineering area, the required subjects are usually 60% or more in physics, chemistry, and math.

- For PHD’s program you must have a Bachelor’s degree while Postgraduate program requires a relevant Bachelor’s degree that must have specific minimum percentage for it to be considered. For this type of loan, this is usually the rate plus another percentage, which is 50% or more.

Entrance Exams:

- Several Manipal programs call for you to have a proven score in the nationally accepted or Manipal university exams (MET, KMAT, GATE, etc.).For different programs, different tests will be allowed.

- In this regard, you need to take Manipal Entrance Test (MET) for admission to medical, dental, pharmaceutical and also for some other programs. Likewise with the requirement level for MET is constantly changing every year.

Age Limit: 

- The age limit is usually not set and there is no minimum or maximum requirement except for a few special cases involving students like MBBS program which requires students to get done with the course by a certain age.

Applications and Eligibility

- Those who want to participate in the selection process either by applying online or sending their CV via the postal services to the selection committee should complete the Manipal University application form first. The app fee is also included in the total cost.

- Every program is different in its admission requirement including whether the applicants have passed certain entrance exam or have achieved good grades in their test ???????, they must fulfill.

Entrance Exams

- For  several programs including the  engineering ones, Manipal has it own on-line entrance examination,  the Manipal Entrance Test (MET). The importance of my MET grade has nothing to do with the mere accomplishment because it affects the decisions that will be made about my admission to universities.

- Not infrequently students’ national level standardized tests scores, for example, JEE Mains, NEET etc. are also considered for admission.

Selection Process  

- These programs using MET scores, MET score will deciding the merit list for a candidate that depends on the candidate's academic record and the result from other entrances exams (if applicable). 

- Candidates are provisionally passed depending on merit, eligibility stipulations and in the case if seats are available.

- And immediately after that, they have counseling rounds after that, though the last step is paying the fees in order to finish the admission.
