JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, which is a university having deemed-to-be status, is located in Mysore, obviously in Karnataka province, India. JSS, founded in 2008, has quickly ascended to become one of the top choices in the country for professional education. With 300 staff and 6000 students, it is one of the leading institutes in India. The academy features a great number of undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral programs in various fields as Engineering, Life Science, Education, etc.

While the top two courses offered by JSS are the BTech and MBA in Computer Science Engineering, respectively, the institute also offers other popular programs such as BTech in Electronics and Communication and MBA in Finance. The B.Tech CSE course is a 4 yrs program in which the students will be taught many topics such as programming, data structures, operating systems and databases. MBA in Marketing is a two years, post graduate program, which includes subjects like branding & brand management, digital marketing, consumer behavior, and so on. 

All UG and PG programs at JSS as a rule bear the end-semester exams in November/December and April/May countries respectively. The CSE exams will be held from December 23rd, 2023 to December 6th, 2024 and then again from May 19th, 2024 to May 2nd, 2024. The Marketing MBA Exams sessions will run from the 1st/14th December 2023 and 5th/18th May 2024, respectively.

JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research Eligibility Criteria 2024

- If you are applying to our UG programs like BA, BSc, BCom, etc.. - 10+1 passed or equal to the same subjects from an institution that is recognized by the board with the minimum mark distribution, having well familiarized with the classes of each subject as the program requirements.

- For B.TECH UG programme with candidates from class 10+2 are eligible (can change - it´s 50-60% of subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the basic subjects of eligibility).

- The Master degree programe of Study courses can include a wide variety such as M Sc, MA, and M Com. Before applying for any of those programs, one should already have a relevant bachelor degree and minimal passing grade (which can be either 50-60%).

- For PG medical courses such as MD/MS, the candidate’s MCI degree as well as his/her MBBS degree should affirm that mark (55%) is a passing mark.

- Who is applying for the MTech Degree must be the holder of a MTech-BTech/BTech/BE to the maximum aggregate percentage.

- In the case of PhD programs - firstly, the candidates prior to the admissions are required to earn minimum marks in the relevant field of master's program followed by fulfilling the eligibility criteria like NET/SET which is required from their end.

- For some programs audit may carry on with the selection process with additional data that will include persons' entrance level tests scores (UB/PG level), interview performance, work experience relevant for this program, and other.

- The contraction of markula percentage for students of various categories according to the recommendations of the constitution is going to be considered too.

- Highlight omissions to the fullness of the desire and having some other necessaries rules or regulations.

JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research Admission Process 2024

1. Online Application

- For the applicant to apply for the university on the JSS AHER website, he/she must fill up an online application form with details such as academic attainments, personal information, courses of interest etc.

2. Entrance Test

- Some programmes like MBBS, BDS, etc. require the student to appear for an entrance test carried out as a qualification criterion by the institution offering the program. Exit exams serve as an examination for students to show their knowledge in subjects of physics, chemistry, biology, etc.

3. Counseling 

- Applicants are called for verifications and allotment rounds where their documents are verified and they are assigned seats on the basis of their merit, preferences etc. Sometimes, students are also asked to pay counseling round(s).

4. Admission Confirmation

- Settling the admission fee is the last step if you have been allotted a seat in the counseling session of JSS AHER. Failure to pay the fees as stipulated will result in forfeiture.
