Aryabhatta Knowledge University Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] Selection Criteria

- Entrance Exam: Candidates have to appear for the state level entrance exam organized by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB). The exam is called BCECE (UG).

- Class 12th Marks: For preparing the merit list, 60% weightage is given to the entrance exam marks and 40% to the candidate's marks in Class 12th or equivalent exam. Minimum aggregate marks required in Class 12 is 45% for unreserved category and 40% for SC/ST category.

- Subjects Required: Candidates should have passed Class 12th or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as main subjects.

- State Quota and All-India Quota: Admissions are conducted under two quotas - State Quota (85% seats for domiciles of Bihar) and All India Quota based on the eligibility and rank in entrance exam.

- Reservation: There is provision for reservations as per Bihar state government rules - SC (16%), ST (1%), EBC (18%) and BC (12%).

- Counselling Process: Eligible candidates according to the merit list will be called for counselling process where they have to register themselves for admission into the engineering colleges affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University.

1. Check the university website or advertisement for the notification regarding B.Tech admissions. This usually comes out around April/May each year.

- 10 + 2 or equivalent in science stream with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved category) in aggregate from a recognized Board.
- Subjects encompassed in the syllabus should be Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

- Character certificate received from the previous institute.
