The Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) is an esteemed and highly competitive entrance examination in India. Administered by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), this test serves as the gateway for admission into various undergraduate engineering, science, and pharmacy programs offered by BITS at its Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad campuses.

BITSAT Eligibility Criteria 2024

Appearing candidatesAppearing candidates for the 2024 12th examination are also eligible to apply for BITSAT 2024. However, their final selection will be subject to their qualifying the 12th examination with the required aggregate marks.

B.E.Candidates must have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) as compulsory subjects. They must have a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in PCM and 60% marks in each of the subjects individually.
M.Sc. (Hons.)Candidates must have passed a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% marks. They must also have appeared in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) or the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced.
M.Sc. (Tech.)Candidates must have passed a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% marks. They must also have appeared in the GATE or the JEE Advanced.

BoardThe candidate must be the topper from the science stream having taken Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) subjects in 12th standard.
ExaminationThe candidate must have appeared in the 12th examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), or any other equivalent board.
MarksThe candidate must have obtained the highest aggregate percentage of marks in the 12th examination among all the students who have taken PCM subjects.
SubjectThe candidate must have taken Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in the 12th examination.
NationalityCandidates of all nationalities are eligible for direct admission under the Board Toppers Scheme.
