The Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) is the entrance exam for admission to undergraduate engineering programs offered at BITS Pilani campuses. To be eligible for BITSAT 2024, candidates must have passed the 12th standard or equivalent qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects. Candidates who are appearing for the 12th exams in 2024 are also eligible to apply.

There are no age restrictions to appear for BITSAT. Candidates need to secure a minimum aggregate of 75% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects in 12th exams to be eligible, or be in the top 20 percentile in 12th exams conducted by the respective boards. The minimum aggregate is relaxed to 60% for candidates with a BITSAT 2024 score of 200 or above. Reservations under socially relevant categories as per government norms are applicable in admissions. Candidates can attempt BITSAT a maximum of two times, not in the same year. Application forms are expected to be released in December 2023 on the official BITSAT website.

BITSAT Eligibility Criteria 2024

Criteria	Details
Educational Qualification	Candidates must have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) as compulsory subjects.
Minimum aggregate marks	A minimum of aggregate 75% marks in PCM and 60% marks in each of the subjects individually.
Age limit	Candidates must have been born on or after 2nd October 2002 (i.e., must have attained the age of 17 years on or before 2nd October 2024).
Nationality	Candidates of all nationalities are eligible to apply for BITSAT.
Language proficiency	Candidates must have adequate proficiency in English.
Appearing candidates	Appearing candidates for the 2024 12th examination are also eligible to apply for BITSAT 2024. However, their final selection will be subject to their qualifying the 12th examination with the required aggregate marks.

BITSAT Eligibility Criteria 2024: For B.E., M.Sc (Hons) and M.Sc. (Tech)

Program	Eligibility Criteria
B.E.	Candidates must have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) as compulsory subjects. They must have a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in PCM and 60% marks in each of the subjects individually.
M.Sc. (Hons.)	Candidates must have passed a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% marks. They must also have appeared in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) or the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced.
M.Sc. (Tech.)	Candidates must have passed a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% marks. They must also have appeared in the GATE or the JEE Advanced.

BITSAT Eligibility Criteria 2024: For B.Pharm (Hons.)

Criteria	Details
Educational Qualification	Candidates must have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) as compulsory subjects.
Minimum aggregate marks	A minimum of aggregate 75% marks in PCB and 60% marks in each of the subjects individually.
Age limit	Candidates must have been born on or after 2nd October 2002 (i.e., must have attained the age of 17 years on or before 2nd October 2024).
Nationality	Candidates of all nationalities are eligible to apply for BITSAT.
Language proficiency	Candidates must have adequate proficiency in English.
Appearing candidates	Appearing candidates for the 2024 12th examination are also eligible to apply for BITSAT 2024. However, their final selection will be subject to their qualifying the 12th examination with the required aggregate marks.

BITSAT Eligibility Criteria 2024: For Board Toppers

Criteria	Details
Board	The candidate must be the topper from the science stream having taken Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) subjects in 12th standard.
Examination	The candidate must have appeared in the 12th examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), or any other equivalent board.
Marks	The candidate must have obtained the highest aggregate percentage of marks in the 12th examination among all the students who have taken PCM subjects.
Subject	The candidate must have taken Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in the 12th examination.
Nationality	Candidates of all nationalities are eligible for direct admission under the Board Toppers Scheme.
