The BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test) 2024 syllabus covers physics, chemistry, mathematics, and logical reasoning. The exam aims to test conceptual clarity as well as problem solving ability and quick logical thinking skills. The syllabus coverage is comparable to higher secondary level science subjects with questions designed to test application capabilities.
Mechanics: Laws of motion, Work, energy and power, Rotational motion, Gravitation, Oscillations, Waves, Fluid mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat transfer
Electricity and magnetism: Electrostatics, Current electricity, Magnetism, Electromagnetic induction and alternating currents
Optics: Geometrical optics, Wave optics, Modern physics
Chemistry
Basic concepts of chemistry, Atomic structure and chemical bonding, States of matter, Chemical thermodynamics, Chemical kinetics, Equilibrium, Redox reactions, Solutions, Electrochemistry, Chemical and biological oxidation-reduction, Coordination chemistry, Organic chemistry
Mathematics
Algebra: Sets, Relations and functions, Trigonometry, Matrices and determinants, Linear algebra, Analytic geometry
