4 Years
Degree
Graduation
Full Time

A BTech (Bachelor of Technology) in Chemical Engineering is a 4 year long undergraduate engineering program that is intended to design, build and scale such processes across various industries using different methods (thermal, mechanical & chemical processes). A student is taught essentials of math, physics, chemistry, biology, and engineering to comprehend processes and be able to direct them for economy, safety, eco-friendliness and profitability.

The curriculum has classes on mass and energy balances, chemical process principles, fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer, chemical reaction engineering, instrumentation and process control, plant design, economics, optimization methods, and safety and environment issues. The students are trained in carrying out the experiments extensively and are given ample chance to experience unit operations themselves. They are often presented with real-life situations and case studies. Along with those, you will have a chance to choose among process engineering electives like petroleum, polymers, food, pharmaceutical etc.

BTech Chemical Engineering Course Eligibility 2024

1. passed with physics, chemistry, and mathematics main subjects with 10+2 or equivalent examination.

2. The minimum aggregate marks in PCM subjects that many admissions windows open in different colleges/universities range from 45-60%.

3. With CETA, I will be able to apply for national/local engineering entrance tests like JEE Main, WBJEE, etc. Admission to some universities/colleges will also be based on their entrance exams.

4. This cut-off should be not less than the average score conducted by the college/university for the exam score in admission.

5. Some colleges also have criteria which are class 12th percent based, so students who have scored over 60% there might have to score minimum of that to get admitted.

6. Not only do a couple of top colleges require a student to be younger than the certain age (usually 20-21 years) but also they have an upper age restrictions.

7. While SC/ST/OBC candidates are debited with 5-10% marks in the PCM cut-off marks fixed by the colleges, they usually get the same ceiling as their non-reserved category counterparts.

8. In addition to that, the entry ticket to college also contains the medical fitness certificates while enrolling in the college.
