The three-year Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Physics has been developed to equip the students with a thorough grounding in the physics concept and principles. A course plan is offered within the syllabus that involves both the cognitive lecture and the practical session to address subjects such as classical mechanics and quantum mechanics, electromagnetism, electronics, thermodynamics, optics, atomic and nuclear physics, as well as other topics.
The first two years contain core physics courses which run concurrently with rigorous courses in calculus, chemistry and other fields that are physics related. During the third year, students can obtain the specialties in many areas of physics including nuclear physics, material science, astrophysics, nanoscience and others. Some universities have introductory honors programs for the studying of physics or electives which students can take from different disciplines.
1. Must be a science student who has passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
2. The student should be able to score at least 50 to 60 % aggregate marks to be selected for college or university depending on the highest qualifying percentage.
3. Required to pass an entrance exam if required to the colleges of a particular specialty.
4. The Application form and documents such marksheets have got to be submitted by the given deadline for admission.
5. Can be pullier with letter of recommendation and statement of purpose too.
6. Admissions decisions are made on the basis of merit, spare seats, and reservation program.
7. Declare admission by paying fees and completing admission-related proceedings.
1. 70% and above grade with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects from the 1o+2 or equivalent examination
2. Not less than 50-60% marks in total Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in the diploma level education.
3. besides SAT scores, there are colleges requiring other criteria like qualifying for their entrance test.
4. There may be the condition for the Arts/Commerce students that need to take the bridging course in Physics and Chemistry.
5. Membership age is defined from 17-18 years for new enrollment.
6. Native speakers of English with IELTS/TOEFL scores will be able to give a language adequacy test.
JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination Main): Contains a paper on the B.E./ BTECH. which falls for the broader physics, math, and chemistry package that is required for the admission into BSc Physics programs in some places.
NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test): In the case of NEET physic, medicine, and dentistry, NEET including physics section is taken into account for BSc physics program admission.
