B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering may be a 4-year long bachelor’s undergraduate program with the aim of teaching subjects such as programming, algorithms, operating systems, database management systems, computer networks, and software engineering.
In the undergraduate part, the course first grants topics such as physics, chemistry, and mathematics as the preparatory requirements along with subjects like digital logic, data structures, computer organization, and programming. Starting from the third year of the undergraduate, computer science students will learn the advanced topics including database systems, computer graphics, system software, microprocessors, computer networks, software engineering, machine learning, and compilers.
1. Two year preparatory course of +2 exam; Physics, Chemistry, Maths at 60% aggregate marks.
2. Participate in the JEE (Main) or (COMEDK) national/state level entrance exams for admission based on the merit of the rank.
3. Candidates who are likely to secure a seat in engineering colleges will be attending counselling sessions in those colleges for the allotment of seats which they have qualified for in the various entrance examinations they have taken.
4. Documents verification comes after that followed by fulfilment of eligibility criteria for final admission release and payment of admission fees.
1. Intermediate or equivalent level examination pass with Physics Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects.
2. A minimum 60-70% aggregate marks (50% for reserved category students) in the higher secondary examination(+2) or an equivalent examination.
3. 12th class board exams and or clearance in central/state-level competitive examinations like JEE Main, WBJEE, AP EAMCET, etc. Some colleges/universities have their own entrance exams.
4. The B.Tech candidates seeking lateral entry to the 2nd year must have a diploma in Engineering stream, specifically computer science/information technology/electronics with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for reserved category) secured after the class 10th.
JEE Main: A national-level entrance exam for admission to top engineering colleges such as NITs and IIITs.
BITSAT: Carried out by BITS Pilani for admission into its various campuses offering CSE programs.
COMEDK UGET: Entrance test for engineering colleges in Karnataka including those offering computer science engineering.
VITEEE: Conducted by VIT University for admission to its different engineering programs including Computer Science and Engineering (CSE).
SRMJEEE: The entrance exam for SRM Institute of Science and Technology that offers CSE apart from the other disciplines.
