The B.Ed or the Bachelor of Teaching is a 2 year professional teacher training course which is exclusive for those who wish to be geography teachers for the secondary and higher secondary classes in India. The course was laid down with the backdrop of the the 1960s Kothari Commission’s recommendation which emphasized professionally trained teachers in India.
The purpose of the BEd Geography program is to equip trainees with the theoretical component and techniques required in teaching Geography thoroughly.
