University of Mysore Eligibility Criteria 2024

- Candidates applying for undergraduate programs like BA, BSc, BCom should be at least 10+2 holders and should meet the minimum aggregate percentage mentioned in the prospectus.

- On the Master's degree (M.A., M.Sc., M.Com.) - Bachelor's degree in the appropriate specialization, awarded by a certified university, with the aggregate mark of minimum 50% (45% for reserved categories).

- The student would have to possess an Mphil degree in the related area from a Government recognized university with at least 55% marks and 50% marks for the reserved categories. Along with the basic requirements of grades and transcripts there may be additional admissions tests or interviews required. 

- For undergraduate diploma and certificate programs, - 10+2 qualification in relevant subjects or 10+2+3 year full time diploma for those who undergo lateral entry.

- Implementation of a 5% marks easing scheme to workout the minimum eligibility problems of those candidates who already have passed the UOM entrance test. Plus there is a bonus open up to reserved category students with government norms.

- Particular students, Kashmiri exiles, sports-related students and may have an extra condition for eligibility.

University of Mysore Admission Process 2024

1. Apply and Register

- Students enroll either manually or automatically through filling in online or offline forms that are often kept online or at offices. Let us add an educational document in this blank like certificates and mark sheets. It is also pertaining on the part of the applicant to pay for the necessary application fee.

2. Entrance Test 

- For some schools, one of the requirements include for students to undergo an admissions test or qualifying exams administered by the university. Examinations evaluate the sufficient knowledge of a given subject, intelligence, intuition, and many other qualities of an individual. 

3. Merit List

- If you have applied for the university, the admission criteria include your qualified examination marks (s), entrance test score (if at all), reservation criteria (e.g., for the SC/ST/OBC category) and so on. Hence, the university releases a provisional list of selected candidates according to that.

4. Counselling 

- Of the applicants, the lucky ones attend counseling sessions and then select their choice of subject/specializations as per their performance and available slots. And the verification of documents also has been done.

5. Admission Confirmation

- During counseling, candidates are offered a place and then the final admission list is prepared, and admitted students pay tuition and other pending fees to confirm admission.

6. Enrollment

- Eventually students fill their enrollment application at their assigned department/college of the university where they complete earlier registration of courses before classes officially start.
