MDSU Ajmer Application Process 2024

Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University Ajmer (MDSU) has several courses across undergraduate and postgraduate levels for several domains. Online and offline are the two modes in which students can get themselves registered for admission for MDSU. 

The online application process is relatively easy and fast compared to applying for a scholarship the traditional way. They have to complete an online application form, attach scanned copies of documents as may be necessary and also pay the application fee online. After submitting the form, candidates will be able to download and even take a print out of that same form in the future.

- The MDS University (MDSU) Ajmer provides MBA through its affiliated and constituent college.

MDSU Ajmer MBA Selection Criteria

1. Entrance Test: The eligibility criteria for admission in all these courses only requires the candidates to clear a university level entrance test conducted by MDSU. The candidates are then shortlisted based on the performance of this test and can apply for the MBA course. In addition, the entrance test is an objective type test that has questions from quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, general awareness, etc.

2. Qualifying Degree Marks: The candidates must have passed the Bachelor’s degree examination of a University or other recognized Institution with not less than a Second Class (50% marks) or an equivalent grade for the Open Category candidates and 45% marks for the SC/ST candidates. 

3. Group Discussion & Personal Interview: MDSU conducts the group discussion and personal interview for the candidates who pass the entrance test MDSU holds for final selection. Entrance test marks, GD/PI round, and qualifying degree percentage are taken into consideration for the final hiring.

4. Final Merit List: MBA admission selection criteria: On the basis of the entrance test, group discussion, personal interview and marks obtained in the graduation – A final merit list is prepared for MBA admission. Thereby, the candidates are considered and offered places in the respective specializations based on the rankings in this merit list up to the number of places available.

MDSU Ajmer M.Sc Selection Criteria

1. Entrance Test: The university conducts an entrance test for MSc admissions. This examination has to be written and passed with minimum scores as prescribed by the university.

2. Merit List: There is an entrance test conducted by the university for admission to each of the MSc programs for which the university prepares merit list of the successful candidates. This merit list is used to offer the candidates the admissions to programs depending on their rank secured.

3. Cut-off Marks: The university also sets a minimum cut-off marks criterion for entrance test for eligibility to different programs. Applicants need to secure a minimum of this often referred to as the cut-off mark to be qualified for the examination.

4. Reservation: Such candidates are offered set-aside seats for the reserved categories of the SC, ST, OBC candidates as per the government rules and regulation. Students belonging to the reserved castes secure their admissions in the colleges at comparatively lower merit ranks.

- For the award of PhD, the candidates should have passed the master’s level with minimum 55% marks are eligible to apply. Reserved category students however, can join on the basis of lower marks as compared to general category students.

- To award the PhD, entrance tests like RET (Research Entrance Test), coupled with an interview, are customary. Final admission criteria depend upon the academic performance, performance in RET, and interview with the panel.

MDSU Ajmer Ph.D Selection Criteria

- A candidate should have passed the Master’s Degree examination in the concerned subject with not less than fifty five percent of the maximum marks which shall be forty five percent in case of the candidate belonging to SC/ST/OBC.

- Entrance Test: University has a policy of providing an entrance test to those who wish to pursue a PhD degree in the University. There is a written examination from which a candidate is required to pass to be eligible for an interview.

- Interview: The candidates who clear the written examination are required to attend an interview before a board of subject specialists and their research interest/area, research ability, subject knowledge and other qualities is assessed.

- Final Selection: The final selection list is prepared as per merit for admission to PhD program for a candidate with reference to his/ her performance in the written test and interview. As for the available number of positions per subject/department it is also limited. 

- UG & CSIR NET JRF or teacher fellowship holders are allowed for direct admission and are not required to take the entrance test. That being said, they also have to sit for the interview themselves.

- The relaxation of 5% for the SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates also will be given as per the norms of the state government.
