Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University (MDSU) is one of the state universities of Rajasthan, India situated at Ajmer. It was established in the year 1987 and it is a university which is recognised by UGC, the university has been graded as ‘A’ according to NAAC. In the NIRF rankings for the year 2023, MDSU has been placed in the 151-200, in the top Universities in the country. 

It is involved in offering several programs of study at its campuses including undergraduate courses, postgraduate courses, diplomas and certificates in arts, commerce, sciences and many more. Some of the courses offered and popular among the students of MDSU are BA, B.Com, BBA, BCA, B.Sc (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology). These courses attract candidates who have passed their qualifying exams with good grades and / or credits. These students sit for their semester examinations in March/April and September/October each year. The admission process for the year 2024 will commence in MAY 2023. The students may register online or offline way, they may fill the application form and submit it and pay the fee for registration.  

The placement cell of MDSU is very active and provides the students with necessary assistance in terms of job placements. Some of the best known companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Deloitte, KPMG, etc. are the regular visitors to MDSU for the placement of their candidates during campus interviews. In terms of placements, the highest salary package offered is up to Rupees 5.5 lakh per annum and the average is approximately Rupees 3 lakh per annum. The major profiles include the software developer, the business analyst, the tax consultant, the HR, the marketing and the sales. MDSU has set the placement record of over 80% for the last few years and go on building efficient workforce in different fields.

Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

Undergraduate: 12th pass in the desirable field from any recognized board; minimum 50% percentage is compulsory (45% for SC/ST/PH candidates). 

Postgraduate: For admissions to this course, the candidate needs to have a relevant bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories); some institutions may hold an entrance test for this level of study.

PhD: A candidate must possess a Master’s degree in the relevant subject with not less than 55% marks in the aggregate; clear the entrance test; personal interview by the research committee.

Diploma: Candidates with 10+2 pass or equivalent from any recognized board and minimum 45% marks are eligible to apply for the post (40% for SC/ST/OBC category). Certain diplomas may, however, attract an extra set of requirements that candidates need to meet in order to be considered.

Certificate: Candidates must possess 10+2 pass in the relevant stream or possess the minimum pass marks in the relevant stream. It is also important to note that some certificates may have certain qualifying requirements as may be set by the departments.
