BSMS, India’s flagship integrated dual degree program in science, is offered in various science streams and comprises of both a Bachelor degree and Master degree in science. BSMS program duration is 5 years and during that time you will study undergraduate courses for 4 years and additionally you will have a postgraduate year.
The BSMS specializations provide students with the opportunity to learn about areas such as the core subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology and other main fields of science. The first 3 years are binary to the early stages and mastery of the core subjects while the last 2 years are connected to advanced theory and disciplinary expertise.

1. Successfully done senior secondary examination/equivalent exam in science stream of a board that is recognized and with the aggregate of 70-80%. Maths, in general, is the mandatory subect.
2. Being passable for the national or state level entrance assessment such as NEET, JEE – Mains or having a valid scorecard with them. The some institutions conduct their own exams.
3. B.Sc. graduates would therefore be the students. they can also try to achieve direct entry into 2nd year of BSMS – 5-year program with related subjects. The minimum requirement could be cash or percentage or digital form.
4. Some institutes in higher education have 1-2 marks deductions for candidates belonging from SC, ST, OBC sections. General category can be a benchmark of 2-3 marks higher.
5. An age cap of less than 25 years is applicable for the dual degree programme during admission to the program. Relaxation that is guided by the standards.
6. Interviewing is also one of the steps that some of the competing BSMS schools go through.
MCAT: The Medical College Admission Test evaluates the ability to study and readiness for medical college, which includes biology, chemistry, physics and logical thinking.
GRE: The Graduate Record Examination is designed for grad schools, and assesses verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning ,and analytical writing which are part of graduate studies.
GMAT: The GMAT test area overlaps with the business school curricula and measures such skills as analytical writing, integrated reasoning, quantitative and verbal intelligence.
LSAT: The Law School Admission Test determines whether applicants to law schools have competence in critical reading, logical reasoning and analytical thinking by assessing them on these skills.
DAT: The Dental Acceptance Test has relevance when it comes to testing the scientific knowledge, spatial aptitude, reading comprehension, and analytical abilities during the dental school admission process.
PCAT: The PCAT evaluates 5 facets of knowledge in biology, chemistry, verbal ability, reading comprehension and quantitative reasoning as a criterion for admission to pharmacy school.
OAT: The purpose of the Optometry Admission Test (OAT) is to judge and ensure students have a strong, comprehensive understanding of natural sciences, physics, and both reading comprehension and quantitative reasoning for admission to optometry school.
GRE Subject Tests: Among the area tests, the ones that examine specific disciplines include biology, chemistry, physics, psychology, and literature depending on the the requirements of the programs.
