A BPharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry is a 4-year full-time undergraduate degree in this field responsible for the chemical science behind the discovery, manufacturing, and testing of medicines.
The program of BPharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry will give you large experience in organic, inorganic, physical and analytical chemistry applied in the pharmaceutical industry. The main topics which will provide an essential overview of the pharmaceutical industry include drug synthesis, drug action and interactions, pharmacokinetics, pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, quality control, pharmaceutical analysis, drug regulations, intellectual property rights, and research methods.
1. BPharm or Bachelor of Pharmacy is a 4-year undergraduate degree course in the pharmaceutical field, specifically designed to train students in all the aspects of pharmacy. It concerns mainly with the subjects like pharmacology, analysis of pharmaceuticals, medicinal chemistry, pharmacognosy, biochemistry, pharmaceutical jurisprudence and other subjects like these.
2. The precondition for BPharm(Pharmaceutical Chemistry specialization) is passing 10+2 or equivalent science exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Maths and minimum 50% aggregate marks. Some institutes as well, offers their own entry exams for admission purpose.
3. The BPharm Pharmaceutical Chemistry module has been designed with a specific focus on drugs and chemical science. It covers different aspects of drug design, synthesis of APIs, drug analysis, analytical techniques and molecular pharmacology and interactions.
4. Once the degree is over, the graduates can either work in a pharma industry as R&D scientist, analyst, production team, manufacturing or quality control officers, marketer or regulatory affairs specialist and move even further by getting a master in pharmacy or PhD.
1. 10+2 passed or identical to it Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics as main subjects.
2. Admission at least be based on 50% of total aggregate marks (40% for reserved category students) in 10+2
3. Qualifying tests such as JEE Main/GUJCET/KCET etc. as applicable are the first indicator of your preparedness to face the next level of challenges throughout your engineering career.
4. English should be among the subjects offered by the 10+2 curriculum.
5. No age limit
