The BCOM or Bachelor of Commerce commonly referred to as Bcom is an undergraduate degree program that lasts for a period of 3 years (6 semesters) in most of the universities in India. It was also introduced as a course of study since the late 19th century under the universities that the British Raj Government set up in Indian.
The program curriculum for BCom program consists of studies and training in accounting, finance, law, management, marketing, human resources and other disciplines of business administration and commerce. Its primary objective is to teach students fundamental business knowledge like management, accounting, and marketing practices that will enable them to take up careers in the corporate industry or startup management.

1. Graduation
The contestant should be a holder of degree in commerce or any other equivalent degrees from a recognized university.
2. Minimum Percentage
The candidate's aggregate mark should not be less than 50-55% for a graded degree. This share has to be a university and college specific rule that might not be the same for each of them.
3. Entrance Test
While some institutions of higher education provide entrance test specific to the admission to the bachelor of education commerce, others may conduct own assessment. To enter, the test clearing may be required.
4. Age Limit
The upper age limit eligibility to admission of is sometimes nonexistent. In addition, some universities but up the age limit above 35 years and 40 years respectively.
5. Relaxation in Percentage
The government norms must be followed and there may be a 5% concession in graduation percentage for candidates who are belonging to reserved categories in line with the government rules and regulations.
CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test): National-level test held in India, which assesses teachers in terms of their pedagogy as well as their mastery of subjects. B.Ed Commerce candidates should pass relevant entrance exams revolving around education in commerce and teaching methodologies.
NET (National Eligibility Test): Involves teaching and research positions in India. The B.Ed Commerce will have to score credit in commerce-oriented papers to get through into the teaching profession.
SET (State Eligibility Test): Examination at the State level of evaluation aptitude to educate and research. B.Ed Commerce applicants must ensure that they outperform other candidates in commerce-oriented papers so that they can secure the teaching positions.
