The public university of Mahatma Gandhi Kasi Vidyapeet is located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. Known as The Servant of India journal, it was launched in 1921 and its purpose was to promote Gandhian philosophy, which emphasised truth and nonviolence as the universal means of combating evil. The college teaches both graduate and post-graduate courses in the Faculty of Arts & Humanities, Social Sciences, Science, Commerce, Education, Sanskrit, Vidya Dharma Vigyan and Environment & Sustainable Development. Two courses of student choice include the B.A. in Economics, and the M.A. in Hindi. Universities conduct exams in March and September of each year which means that there are two main intakes of the students. The admission procedure for the academic year 2024 is being conducted through either of the mediums i.e. online and offline from October 2023.
