Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test

TS EDCET is a single entrance test that is administered by the Osmania University,Hyderabad and the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) on behalf of the state (Telangana) for admission into B.Ed. program. An analysis of what should be included in a B.Ed course in the colleges of education in Telangana, India. The exam will be held each year, as a rule, in July. It assesses the candidate in high regards to his skills such as knowledge of teaching, communication, languages, analysis and base subject competency. The examination comprises of two parts A-B which assess general knowledge and teaching aptitude as well as subject proficiency chosen to be taught. The examination is of the multiple chose question type. 

Considering the past timelines, the TSEDCET for the 2024 session is not expected earlier than April-May of 2024. The online application for this test can be started in May, and it is expected that the admit cards will be released on June 2024 before the test day. The results are provided back in 15-20 days after the test (normally). In the months of August-September, college students are offered sessions according to their ranks. The whole admission procedures are packed up since September and the new academic year comes rolling in from the next month.

TS EDCET Exam Day Guidelines 2024

Arrive early: Candidates disregarding the fact that they should arrive at least 45 minutes before the exam start time can result in unnecessary hassle which can affect their performance

Bring admit card: In addition, the admit card is an essential document that the candidate is definitely going to use for admitting into the examination hall. The printed copy should be brought in by the candidates.

Proper Identification: The candidates will also be asked to bring authenticated valid ID proof such as Aadhar card, PAN card, and many others along with them the admit card of their respective institutions.

List of allowed items: Candidates can carry only the listed items such as a pen box, calculator and transparent paper. Other things like watch, mobile and purse are not allowed in the hall.

Maintain discipline: Candidates must just listen to the invigilators and show noiseless and well-behaved attitude throughout the examination hall. Unfair means included in the above may be a sufficient grounds to disqualify a student.

Dress Code: Don't forget to grab the clothes that match the dress code as mentioned in the exam day guidelines. Persons in shirtsleeves, without footwear, with guinea-fowls on their heads, and persons with long trousers are not allowed.

Report issues: During exam, in case any deny is encountered for exam centre, slot, admit card etc. then the candidate should immediately share it with invigilator or helpline numbers
