The SLIET SET (Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology State Entrance Test) is an entrance exam for the students of university level conducted by Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Punjab, India for the students’ admissions into the various undergraduate and postgraduate engineering, technology and management programs. The stipulated requirement for appearing in the SLIET SET is that 12th Std. passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the main subjects for engineering programs while for management courses the candidate should be a graduate from any stream.

The SET paper consists of objective-type questions, mostly revolving around mental aptitude, quantitative aptitude, reasoning aptitude, general engineering/technological or management aptitude as well as English language proficiency. On the basis of given criteria, shortlisted applicants are invited for the interviews, and then they are subsequently being admitted based on available seats. In keeping with the previous years, the SET 2024 exam dates are to be announced later, but it is expected to be held in the final week of May 2024. The SLIET announces the results from the entrance examinations within one or two days of conducting the same on its website. The survey specifies that the scores will be categorized and information with regard to counseling process for admissions next year will be provided.

How to Apply For SLIET SET Exam 2024?

1. Registration form & application form.

- First, go to the official SLIET site (www.sliet.ac.in) and hover over the link for SET Exam Registration as soon as the notification appears.

- "Click on "New Registration" and enter youse email AID and other basic details.

- The web address for the application form would be sent to your email. Apply for it until the deadline and then respectively upload your application.

2. Uploading Documents

- Attach the scan copies of your 10th and 12th mark sheets/degree certificates and category certificate (if applicable) in the format shown.

- Certainly, the documents should be understandable and correct.

3. Pay Application Fee  

- Several payment modes are available to pay the application fee online, such as credit/debit card and UPI. The fee detail will be mentioned in the notification.

4. Download Admit Card

- After the admissions office receives your application, the admit card will be available for downloading from either the institution's website or your personal account.

- Download it and don't forget to take a print of it so that you can carry it to the exam center.

5. Appear for Exam

- Arrival at the examination hall on the assigned date and time stated in admit card must be is a must. 

- As well, you are advised to have photocopy of admit card along with the proper photo ID proof for smooth entry to the exam.
