The SLIET SET (Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology State Entrance Test) is an entrance exam for the students of university level conducted by Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Punjab, India for the students’ admissions into the various undergraduate and postgraduate engineering, technology and management programs. The stipulated requirement for appearing in the SLIET SET is that 12th Std. passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the main subjects for engineering programs while for management courses the candidate should be a graduate from any stream.
The SET paper consists of objective-type questions, mostly revolving around mental aptitude, quantitative aptitude, reasoning aptitude, general engineering/technological or management aptitude as well as English language proficiency. On the basis of given criteria, shortlisted applicants are invited for the interviews, and then they are subsequently being admitted based on available seats. In keeping with the previous years, the SET 2024 exam dates are to be announced later, but it is expected to be held in the final week of May 2024. The SLIET announces the results from the entrance examinations within one or two days of conducting the same on its website. The survey specifies that the scores will be categorized and information with regard to counseling process for admissions next year will be provided.
