The PU CET (Pre University Common Entrance Test) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) for admission into various undergraduate professional courses in Karnataka. The test is taken by students who have passed their Class 12 board exams or qualifying exams and seek admission into engineering, technology, agriculture, veterinary, pharmacy, naturopathy & yogic science courses offered by various colleges affiliated to these streams across Karnataka. 

The PU CET comprises subjects such as physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology. It is a competitive exam consisting of objective type multiple choice questions. The results of CET 2023 are expected to be declared in May or June 2023. Students who clear the cutoff will be eligible to participate in the counselling process for seat allotment in their desired colleges and courses. As per trends, the exam dates for PU CET 2024 are likely to be announced by KEA in February 2024 while the exam will probably be conducted during the months of April-May 2024 for the academic session 2024-25.

Documents Required For PU CET Exam Registration 2024

- 10th standard marks card: Needed as proof of date of birth and marks obtained in 10th exams.

- 12th standard marks card (if appeared for 12th exams): Needed if you have already passed 12th standard.

- Study Certificate: Certificate from your school/college indicating the year of passing 11th standard exams.

- Caste certificate: Required if claiming seats under reserved categories like SC/ST, etc.

- Income certificate: Required if eligibility for fee exemption is being claimed.

- Ration card: Can be provided as an additional ID/address proof.

- Aadhaar card: Required as an identity document.

- Passport size photographs: A certain number of recent passport size photographs need to be affixed on the application.

- Application fee: Application fees can be paid online or offline through methods specified.

How to Apply For PU CET Exam 2024?

1. Check the official website of PU CET when the notification and application form is out. The website is usually pucet.unipune.ac.in

2. Go through the information bulletin carefully to understand the exam pattern, eligibility criteria, important dates etc.

3. Register on the website with your personal and academic details. Ensure the details match your 10th/12th certificates.

4. Pay the application fees online using credit/debit card, net banking or UPI. Fees is usually around Rs 800. Application form will be submitted only once fees is paid.

5. Upload scanned images of photograph and signature in the specified size and format given in instructions.

6. Select your choice of exam center from the options available.

7. Download and print the final submitted application form with application number for future reference.

8. Once admit card is released, download it by logging into the portal using application number and password.

9. Appear for PU CET 2024 exam at designated exam center with admit card and ID proof. Check syllabus thoroughly and prepare for the exam.
