The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) PG entrance exam is held every year as the common entrance test for admissions to postgraduate courses in medicine and dentistry offered by the JIPMER institutes of Puducherry and Karaikal. The JIPMER PG exam is one of the most famous and competitive entrances for a postgraduate course in the country with lakhs of candidates appearing for approximately 200 seats it offers.
The computer-based JIPMER PG test does not only assess your knowledge about subjects like physiology, biochemistry, pathology, pharmacology, general medicine, general surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology but it also tests your skills and knowledge in these subjects. The exam content will include 200 multiple choice questions which will have to be solved within 2 hours 30 minutes. As regards to -0.25 marks, this shall apply for every incorrect answer. The merit list defines the list of prospective students who will be requried to give an interview before the allotment of the seats.
